Islamic architecture inspired hand illustrated Rumi poems book cover

Illustrating and designing the book cover for Rumi’s poems waas a self-initiated project, where I drew inspiration from the profound wisdom of Rumi's poems combined with the intricate beauty of Islamic architecture. For this project, I illustrated and hand drew the title and pattern for the book cover, which uniquely reflects the themes of spirituality and connection found in Rumi’s work. I later added colour and patterns in Photoshop. The vibrant patterns commonly seen in Islamic architecture provided the perfect backdrop for the enchanting verses of Rumi. Each line of poetry is a journey, and I aimed to create a visual representation that enhances that experience. The geometric designs intertwine with the flowing nature of the text, symbolizing the harmony between structure and emotion. This project was a labor of love, allowing me to explore my artistic style while paying homage to Rumi’s timeless messages. I also created patterns for endpapers for the book I hope that when readers see the cover, they feel a sense of wonder and are inspired to dive deeper into the world of Rumi's poetry.
