My Quirky Star Sign Illustrations with Hand Lettering

I did a self-initiated project where I created a series of quirky star sign illustrations, each paired with playful hand lettering that captures the essence of each zodiac sign in a fun and engaging way.

The zodiac has been a source of intrigue and inspiration for many, embodying unique characteristics and traits for each sign. I wanted to delve into this world and express the individuality of each star sign through a colorful and whimsical lens. My goal was to create illustrations that not only represent the signs but also resonated with the personalities and quirks attributed to them.

I explored the symbols and traits associated with each zodiac sign. I began sketching out individual illustrations, incorporating elements that reflect the spirit of each sign. For instance, Leo is represented with a bold lion, while Pisces features dreamy fish swimming among waves. Emphasizing the quirky aspect, I added whimsical details—like playfully exaggerated features and vibrant colours—to bring each sign to life. I wanted viewers to feel the energy and distinctive qualities of each zodiac sign as they explored the illustrations. Hand lettering was an essential component of this project. Each illustration is paired with a fun, handwritten font that embodies the spirit of the sign. I hand-draw my illustrations and then use Photoshop to add colours.
