My Book Cover Design for the Association of Illustrators' ‘Forestology’ Book Cover Brief
I am excited to share my latest self initiated project, which involved creating a book cover design for a brief from the Association of Illustrators for their book titled ‘Forestology’. I started by hand-drawing trees and icons and then brought the entire design to life with colors in Photoshop.
The brief challenged me to encapsulate the essence of ‘Forestology’, a book that explores the beauty, intricacies, and importance of forests and the ecosystems they support. With this theme in mind, I aimed for the cover to be visually engaging while reflecting the themes of nature, growth, and conservation. Each tree was drawn with care to embody the spirit of the forest and highlight its significance. I also hand-lettered the title, giving the cover a personalized touch that speaks to the individuality of the natural world.
I also designed patterns which can be used for end papers and edges of the book. I also experimented with some other book cover designs
