Hand-Drawing Quirky Portraits - Alyssa Harmon from the Flammable Entrepreneur

There’s something undeniably captivating about a hand-drawn portrait. It tells a story, captures a personality, and adds a touch of whimsical charm that digital images often lack. I did a passion project, where I created a quirky portrait of Alyssa Harmon from the Flammable Entrepreneu. The portrait can be used in any magazine or editorial spread, or book

Alyssa from the Flammable Entrepreneur is caring and has an infectious spirit. I wanted to encapsulate the essence of her personality in a single illustration. I used pinks and browns to showcase her caring personality and incorporated playful patterns and colors into her clothing

I hand drew the portrait, and then used Photoshop to add colours. I opted for warm colors to evoke a sense of joy and liveliness, while the features added an element of whimsy that characterizes a quirky aesthetic.

In a world where we are often inundated with polished, standard images, quirky illustrations stand out. They offer a breath of fresh air, inviting readers to pause and engage with the content on a more personal level. Publications that incorporate such art can convey messaging that is not only visual but also emotional. Quirky portraits encourage inclusivity and diversity, reminding us that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and styles. They tell stories—stories of hope, resilience, and individuality—and can leave a lasting impression on readers.
